NICOLE MAJKA

Nicole Majka, LPC Nicole Majka is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), EAP I and in October of 2006 will be a Certified Domestic Violence Professional (CDVP). Nicole interned at Family Shelter Service in Wheaton where she worked with women, children and adolescent victims of Domestic Violence in their outpatient as well as shelter facilities.

Nicole developed and co-facilitated an Eating Disorder support group at the College of Dupage. Nicole was active in eating disorder awareness at COD as well as spoken to high school students on the risks, dangers and treatment of eating disorders. In addition, she has been active as a leader in the Growth and Encouragement Support Ministry focusing specifically on eating disorders at Calvary Church.

Nicole has experience working with domestic violence, child, adolescent and adult counseling, crisis intervention, eating disorders, PTSD, trauma, and abuse. Nicole has developed and co-facilitated groups dealing with eating disorders, parenting, women and children who are victims of domestic abuse.

Nicole is committed to bringing awareness as well as help victims of Domestic Violence and individuals struggling with Eating Disorders.

Nicole received her Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from DePaul University in 1996 and her Masters in counseling degree from National Louis University in 2006. Nicole is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy level 1 certified which entails utilizing horses as a tool in the therapy process. Nicole is a member of the ACA and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
